Center Creek Capital
Dan founded Center Creek Capital Group, which oversees Center Creek Housing Fund II, a single-family rental fund that invests in Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. Center Creek also provides advisory services in mortgage capital markets and originations/servicing strategy. Previously, he was a Director of Investments for Lone Star Funds, a $30B private equity fund specializing in distressed debt, where he opened their Washington DC office in 2009 and focused on sourcing assets through partnerships with government agencies including Treasury, the Federal Reserve, the GSEs, and HUD. Dan previously worked as an investment banker and as a Director of Corporate Development at Capital One, where his deals included the $14B acquisition of North Fork Bank and the acquisition of an online mortgage company that became Capital One Home Loans. He has spoken at the White House National Economic Council, Harvard Business School, George Washington University School of Business, and numerous industry conferences. Earlier this Fall he published a paper “Single Family Rentals: A new approach to affordable housing” through the Urban Institute in Washington DC. He serves on the Board and Chairman of the Finance Committee for Friends of Choice in Urban Schools (FOCUS) a charter school support organization in Washington DC. Dan has a BA in Ethics, Politics, & Economics from Yale and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business.
