As Vice President at Harvard Investments Mathew is responsible for launching and developing a portfolio of Build-To-Rent Communities through existing sites, JV investments, and strategic acquisitions.
Mr. Avrhami has residential rental experience on over 30 multifamily projects and thousands of rental homes. Work experience spans across the capital stack and major asset types, specializing in creating value though entitlements, development, re-development, leasing, operational efficiencies, and market opportunities.
Active in the community, Mathew Avrhami is an associate faculty at Arizona State University’s WP Carey School of Business, teaching real estate investments.
Most recently Mr. Avrhami was VP of Acquisitions at the 3rd largest single family REIT, Progress Residential, with over 50k homes, where he was responsible for developing acquisition channels including Build to Rent and single family rental portfolios. Previously, Mr. Avrhami was Vice President at Rialto Capital where he was responsible for development, value-add and repositioning on a range of assets including residential rentals, overseeing day-to-day operations of the Phoenix office, acquisitions, asset management and dispositions of direct and JV real estate investments throughout the western mountain states.
Mathew holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and a Master’s of Real Estate Development from Arizona State University.
