Aron is a partner in the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. He routinely advises banks and investment funds in a wide variety of mortgage and mezzanine financing transactions, including CMBS, balance sheet, and construction loans, with experience in the negotiation of complex co-lender and intercreditor arrangements. His recent experience includes serving as regular counsel to Goldman Sachs in mortgage and mezzanine financings, including its origination of a $1.05 billion mortgage and mezzanine financing to refinance the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, advising Mapletree Investments, as borrower, in its $2.08 billion financing of a portfolio of 199 industrial properties and advising AllianceBernstein, as lender, in a $330 million loan to finance the redevelopment of Horton Plaza in San Diego, California. He also has significant real estate acquisition, leasing and development experience, recently advising the Qatar Investment Authority in its acquisition of a 24% stake in a portfolio of Fifth Avenue-Times Square properties owned by Vornado valued at approximately $5.6 billion. He received a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School in 2011 and an undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University in 2004.
