Stefan Martinovic is Vice President of Investments for Midwood Investment & Development, a 95-year old owner/operator/developer of 140 mixed-use, multifamily and retail properties in urban centers nationwide.  At Midwood, Stefan leads the digital enablement of the platform including the application of cutting edge technologies and analytics to imbue a data-driven approach to investment selection, development of proprietary a geospatial software platform, and technology transformation initiatives that support development, leasing and management activities.
Previously, Stefan served as the first-ever head of innovation and products at the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), spearheading major innovation initiatives and technology development on behalf of the most prominent brokerages, developers, and operators in New York City.  He was responsible for advancing modernization of the City’s real estate listing systems (the RLS) and building the industry's authoritative property database.
Stefan founded and was CEO of, a venture-backed 3D mapping and property database software platform that served over 10,000 real estate market participants.  He was responsible for all facets of organizational growth from inception through exit and is recognized as an innovator in real estate technology, raising $4M of capital from VC funds and angel investors, growing the company to 12 FTE and leading it through Techstars.  He holds an MBA from the College of William & Mary, and is an active angel investor and advisor to bleeding edge Proptech startups.
