Richard Rodriguez serves as the Head of Amherst Homes, the Community and Build-For-Rent Division of Amherst, a $10.9bn AUM vertically integrated platform designed to enable scaled investment into single-family homes operated as long-term rentals. In this role, his team is responsible for developing communities for rent that begin at multiple stages from raw land to finished homes. as well as the Real Estate Operations for Mian Street Renewal, the property management company of Amherst. Rich is also the Head of Real Estate Operations for Main Street Renewal. In this role, he is responsible for leading the improvement, renovation, and maintenance of a 30,000 single-family rental portfolio.  Additionally, he is also responsible for the strategy, execution, and growth initiatives under Amherst Homes to include Studio Build – a modular building entity. His goal is to improve policies and processes relating to our property management and repair services, as well as the management for the performance of Main Street Renewal’s branches and staff. 
Rich brings more than 25 years of industry expertise to the firm. Prior to Amherst, Rich most recently served as the President of Dunhill Homes, a single-family homebuilder that develops land and acquires lots to construct single-family and multi-family homes for sale and rent. Prior to this, Rich spent three years at Colony Starwood Homes, most recently as Senior Vice President of Operations in which he was responsible for the construction, renovation-turn, and warranty operations. Rich also previously served as CEO of Emaar Dubai, one the largest real estate developers in the world. During his tenure as CEO, he oversaw the construction of the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa and the largest mall in the world, The Dubai Mall, as well as the very first Armani Hotel and over 5000 other residential units in and around the MENA region.

Rich is a reserve military officer (SEAL), holding the rank of Rear Admiral. He holds an MBA from Xavier University, a BS from the US Naval Academy, completed the Joint Forces Staff College for the Navy, and attended a Post-Master’s Program at Columbia Business School.
