Larry Botel founded JOSS Realty Partners in 2005. Since its inception, JOSS has acquired twenty five commercial real estate assets totaling over three million square feet with a value in excess of $1 billion in New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco.  Throughout the course of his 30-year career in real estate, Mr. Botel's work has included all facets of property acquisitions and sales, complex financing structures, and multiple property debt securitizations. He has underwrote, negotiated, and closed over $4 billion in property and real estate debt acquisitions and recapitalizations, over $2.5 billion in real estate financings, and over $1.5 billion in real estate securitizations. Mr. Botel has long standing relationships with real estate investment banks and private equity firms, service providers and brokers, in addition to lenders, owners and developers. 
Mr Botel is the President of Alliance Sports LLC.  Alliance Sports is the Owner and Managing Partner of the Omaha Storm Chasers (KC Royals AAA), Baseball America Magazine, and a USL League One soccer franchise.  It is also the General Partner of the Richmond Flying Squirrels (SF Giants AA) and the Montgomery Biscuits (Tampa Rays AA).
Botel also serves as head of PJ SOLOMON's Real Estate Advisory Group.  Since 2007 Mr. Botel has been partners with PJ SOLOMON on a $100M principal real estate investment fund. In addition, over the last ten years, Mr. Botel has assisted PJ SOLOMON on numerous real estate related advisory assignments. Notable assignments include advising a large multi-national department store operator on its options to maximize the value of its real estate assets including the evaluation and restricting of its portfolio into an OpCo / PropCo structure and advising Kenneth Cole on strategies to maximize the value of its real estate holdings as part of a comprehensive program to refinance its balance sheet and stabilize the operating business. Mr. Botel also advised Smith & Wollensky on the financing of its flagship location at a high water mark valuation. 
Past positions included Broadway Partners, Fortress Investment Group, UBS, Blackrock, Mutual of New York, and Prudential.
Mr. Botel received his M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S.B.A. from Georgetown University.
He is a Member of the Board of Advisors of McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University and an Executive in Residence and Member of the Steering Committee for the Steers Center for Global Real Estate.
