Debbie O'Connell

Debbie is a leadership expert through personal experience and extensive training. A lifelong
athlete, she excelled and captained most of the teams on which she competed including as a Lady
Topper for Western Kentucky University where she competed in the NCAA Final Four.
The leadership skills, teamwork, adversity, and success she experienced through athletics made
her a natural leader in the position of Head Golf Professional for over 15 years. With a desire to
make a positive impact outside of the country club, Debbie became an entrepreneur opening Golf
Positive, LLC in 2013 and Live Positive, LLC in 2017.
Under Live Positive, Debbie is a Professional Speaker who has empowered and inspired
employees from companies such as Morgan Stanley, CME Group, EY, Envigo, Constellation,
and more. Besides keynote speaking she offers corporate leadership training, positive culture
development and team building. She also conducts her own live transformational events and
online courses to shift people into living confidently, positively and achieving their dreams.
Through Golf Positive Debbie runs corporate golf outings where she combines her skills as the
keynote speaker, for companies including as Deutsche Bank, CME Group, EY, Bank of America
and Morgan Stanley. She also runs group clinics, corporate team building through golf, and
teaches strategies to use golf for business. She also offers group and private golf lessons.
Debbie is certified in John Maxwell Speaking, Training, Coaching; Strategic Intervention life
coaching; DISC Personality Assessment; and soon to be certified in ICF (International Coaching
Federation). She has twice attended Tony Robbins “Unleash the Power Within” training and cohosted
an empowering golf day in conjunction with the Tony Robbins UPW program.
Debbie holds a degree in Psychology with minors in Business and Broadcasting from Western
Kentucky University.
