Steve Gaenzler is Senior Vice President, Data and Analytics, for Radian. At Radian, he is responsible for the development of new data and advanced analytical products to support the Real Estate (Valuation, Asset Management, Title and Real Estate) and Mortgage (Risk Services) divisions, and Radian’s customers. His organization includes data science, advanced analytics (artificial intelligence and machine learning), engineering and product development. He is also a member of Radian’s Enterprise Risk Management council, responsible for model governance for the Real Estate division. Mr. Gaenzler has more than 25-years of experience in the mortgage and capital markets, banking and asset management, and technology arenas. Prior to joining Radian, he was co-Founder and Managing Principal of Five Bridges Advisors, LLC, a Washington, DC-based fintech focused on the mortgage, consumer and capital markets that was acquired by Radian in early 2019. Founded in 2008, Five Bridges provided predictive modeling, analytics, and workflow automation technology. He drove Five Bridges’ expanded use of AI and Machine Learning techniques, and played key roles in the design and development of their multiple SaaS, web-based loan and securities investment, portfolio and risk management platforms.Mr. Gaenzler’s broad industry experience has given him a unique and timely perspective on the intersections of the consumer, data, and technology. Mr. Gaenzler has advised regulators, federal agencies, central banks, investors, broker/dealers, ratings agencies and other market participants on a wide range of issues related to the housing, real estate, consumer and mortgage markets, and the use of data and analytics to expanding business value and managing risk.In addition, to numerous academic, industry and analytics presentations and speaking engagements, Mr. Gaenzler has held FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses, received a B.S.B.A. degree from the American University and is a CFA charter holder.
