Henchman LeMaistre
Co-Founder & CEO
Picket Homes

Henchman LeMaistre has spent a decade and a half reshaping the residential real estate
industry. Before becoming CEO of Picket Homes and its subsidiaries, Inertia Realty Services
and ElaraOne (“Elara”) Home Management, Hench co-founded PR3 after serving as Chief Operations Officer of Progress Residential from 2015 to 2018. There he oversaw the significant and fast-paced growth of the company, propelling it from an externally managed portfolio of 10,000 homes (~$2.2B in assets) to more than 40,000 homes (~$10B).
Prior to his leadership role at Progress Residential, Hench was co-founder and Executive Vice President of Operations for Colony American Homes. While at Colony, Hench developed, built, and directed national property management operations for the single-family residential portfolio of approximately 18,000 homes (~$4B). Hench joined Colony from Carrington Capital Management, where he began as Operations Manager & Controller in 2004 and later served as Senior Managing Director.
He was also a co-founder and Director of Operations for Carrington Property Services, where he managed the company’s SFR initiative, buying single-family homes for long-term rental properties and managing thousands of GSE distressed assets nationally during the Great Recession. He then served as President of Carrington from January 2010 through 2011. Earlier in his career, Hench worked at Investors Bank and Trust (IBT) from 2001 to 2004 and
held several roles, including senior trader, while helping build the company’s broker-dealer.
Hench received his B.A. in Economics from Wheaton College.
