Sondra C. Wenger

Sondra Wenger serves as CBRE Global Investors’ Head of Americas Commercial Operator Division. In this capacity, Sondra is responsible for the execution and operation of the firm’s office and retail assets in the Americas, which is comprised of $8.5 billion of direct office AUM and $1.5 billion of direct retail AUM as of March 31, 2021. Her appointment underscores the firm’s enhanced sector-specific approach to investing as part of its investor-operator model and unique ability to deliver on all aspects of an investment’s lifecycle. She serves as a member of the firm’s Americas Investment Committee.

. Over the course of her career, Sondra has sourced, negotiated and closed more than $10 billion of transactions in more than 35 cities. She has been involved in numerous transactions, including equity and debt positions in stabilized, value-add, opportunistic, infrastructure and opportunity zone investments in office buildings, retail, apartments, condominiums, industrial, data centers, cold storage, hotels and mixed-use assets through direct and joint venture investments. Prior to joining CBRE Global Investors, Sondra served as a senior executive for top-tier institutions, including CIM Group, General Electric, and Equity Office Properties. In these roles, she was responsible for strategizing, developing and executing the real estate investment strategy

Sondra currently serves as a Board Member for both CA South (a women-owned development and investment management firm based in Nashville) and American Ventures (a value-add workforce housing investment firm based in Austin). She is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where she serves as Membership Chair on the Executive Board for the Urban Mixed-Use Development Gold Council, is a member of the ULI Leadership council, and is a mentor for the ULI GROW program. She is a frequent speaker at real estate conferences, sharing her experiences, expertise and perspective in today’s highly competitive market.

Sondra has received several industry recognitions, including most recently Bisnow’s LA Power Women (2019), NAWRB Commercial Leader Award (2019), US House of Representatives Commercial Leaders Award (2019), and GlobeSt.com Women of Influence for Investment Professional and Mentor of the Year (2019).

Sondra graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Riverside and was a California Certified Public Accountant from 1994-2009.
