Jay Minnick

Jay Minnick is a Founder and Owner of Helu Development, Helu Capital, and Helu Residential. In his role as CEO and President, Jay is responsible for overseeing the due diligence, financing, acquisition, development, construction, lease-up, and long-term management of all Helu projects. He was previously President of Triago Ventures and continues as a partner in Triago Ventures and its projects located in Washington UT and Draper UT. Prior to that he was Vice President at Salt Lake City-based Lend Lease Residential Management formerly Boston Financial and, prior to that, Prowswood Management. In addition to his professional achievements, Jay is active in the community and within his industry. From 2002 to 2003, he served as Chair and President of the Board of Directors for the Utah Apartment Association (UAA), which represents over 1,500 owners/manager totaling more than 60,000 rental units and 165 product/service providers and related professional within the apartment industry. In 2005, he served as past chair of the UAA. He is currently a member of the National Apartment Association and National Multi-Family Housing Council. Finally, Jay graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in speech communications and earned a master’s in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. Jay’s Experience With 30+ years of tenure in the multi-family apartment industry, Jay has extensive experience with ground up development, sourcing exclusive debt, securing private equity, closing on acquisitions, and effective property management.
