Lauren Gilchrist is Managing Director of Research for Longfellow Real Estate Partners, the largest privately held life sciences developer in the United States. Lauren directs Longfellow’s research strategy, content creation, and thought leadership in addition to providing macro and micro market research for the purposes of underwriting and executing Longfellow’s projects. Previously, Lauren served as SVP of Research for JLL in Philadelphia, Manager of Research & Analysis at the Center City District, and Program Manager at the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness. Lauren received her MS in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College and a BS in Business Administration from Bucknell University. Lauren holds appointments to the Board of Directors for the PGW, Philadelphia Orchestra, Central Philadelphia Development Corporation, Old City Community Fund, and the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of NAIOP, where she served as Chapter President 2019-2020. Lauren frequently lectures and comments on topics related to commercial real estate and economic development for national audiences and publications and has appeared in Forbes, Globe Street, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and NBC 10, among other outlets. She has been named a Philadelphia Business Journal “40 Under 40 Honoree” in 2016, a Philadelphia Business Journal “Woman of Distinction – Rising Star,” a Bisnow “Philly Power Woman in Commercial Real Estate,” and received the NAIOP “Developing Leaders Award” in 2020.
