Caroline McBride is a co-founder and the chief investment officer of Forum Partners, a global real estate investment management firm with $5.5 billion in assets under management on behalf of institutional investors and family offices. Forum’s capabilities span public and private debt and equity. Founded in mid-2002, Forum has over 60 employees in ten offices around the world. Ms. McBride chairs the firm’s investment committee, and oversees the investment process, investor relations and marketing. Prior to founding Forum, Ms. McBride was a Managing Director at Security Capital Group (“SCG”) where she provided investment and operating oversight for companies in which SCG had a strategic ownership position. Prior to joining SCG in 1996, Ms. McBride was a Director of Private Market Investments for the IBM Retirement Fund, responsible for managing a $ 4 billion real estate and private equity portfolio. Previously, Ms. McBride held a variety of positions at IBM. She joined IBM in 1978. Ms. McBride is currently a Trustee of Middlebury College. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Pension Real Estate Association and the Real Estate Research Institute. She is also a former Board member of several public and private real estate companies. Ms. McBride received her Masters in Business Administration from New York University and her Bachelor of Arts in history from Middlebury College. .
