Jay Moss
Real Estate Dimensions

Jay Moss is a thirty-five year veteran of the homebuilding industry and is considered one of its most influential leaders. Prior to becoming the CEO of Real Estate Dimensions Inc, Jay Moss assumed multiple leadership roles at KB Home, one of the largest homebuilders in the U.S. and a Fortune 500 company. Jay was instrumental in building strong teams and driving profitable operations during both high growth periods and in declining markets over a 25 year span with KB Home. During this time period, Jay was responsible for the start up the Las Vegas market and restructure of the Northern and Southern California markets, driving results in three of the firm’s largest and most dynamic divisions. Jay started his career at KB as the President of KB Home, Nevada, leading the first division start up outside of California in over a decade. From 1993 to 1998 Jay built the Nevada division overseeing all functions from land acquisition to customer service. By 1998, the KB Nevada division delivered over 3000 homes making it one of the largest producing divisions of any homebuilder in the U.S. at that time, with profits of approximately $40 million and over a 10% profit margin. In 1998, Jay assumed the role of Division President for the North Bay Area in California. In North Bay, during the KB Home high-growth period, Jay was responsible for blending the newly acquired Lewis Homes famous Rayco operating model with the KB Home business model. The goal was to leverage the best practices of both companies and three operating divisions into a single, streamlined operating model. As a result, the division tripled its pretax profit ($20 million) from the previous year. During his tenure in North Bay, Jay was also instrumental in the redevelopment of Mather Air Force Base, a unique, environmentally sensitive military redevelopment project. In 2000, Jay returned to Southern California to lead KB Home’s second largest division covering the Greater Los Angeles area. During this time, Jay generated a two-year “turn around” plan to restructure the struggling division by creating two separate operating centers and consolidating purchasing, marketing and land acquisition. As a result, the division produced one of the best pre-tax margins at KB Home at the time. In 2003, Jay was promoted to Regional General Manager for the entire Southern California Region where the KB best practices were implemented driving its best operational results in over ten years. Jay formed a sales and marketing research company early in his career Development Dimensions, which became a large supplier of market information to the homebuilding industry. Jay sold this firm to the nationally known public company, MPSI. Jay Moss is a board member of HomeAid and a California realestate broker. He also is also longtime supporter of many local and national charitable organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Diego State. “Real Estate Dimensions Inc, is propelled by fresh, new ideas and the opportunity to excel at a time when the rest of the industry is in retreat. It will be the pinnacle of my career to build and lead this company which will greatly benefit our customers, partners and our employees.”
