Roy Hormuth joined Ginnie Mae in 2012 as Director of the Single-Family Division in the Office of Issuer and Portfolio Management. He has more than 28 years of experience in housing finance and capital markets.
In his role at Ginnie Mae, Mr. Hormuth directs the organization’s $ 1.5 Trillion Single-Family MBS Program, which also includes MBS backed by manufactured housing and reverse mortgage collateral. Mr. Hormuth manages all issuer relationships in the Single-Family MBS program and is responsible for enhancing issuer outreach and training opportunities. He is responsible all issuer portfolio management nationwide as well as transaction management.
Prior to joining Ginnie Mae, Mr. Hormuth was at Fannie Mae, where he managed teams responsible for top-tier national bank and investment banking customer relationships. He also led cross-functional teams, including risk management and loan servicing consultants responsible for managing the performance of several top-tier mortgage loan servicers. In addition, earlier in his career, Mr. Hormuth also managed a team responsible for negotiating non-standard structured transactions and was instrumental in developing Fannie Mae’s first Senior-Subordinate REMIC structure.
Mr. Hormuth received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with a minor in Finance, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations
